...Cathrine Westergaard is a native New Yorker, born to a broadway and film producer. She spent her childhood amidst the world of auditions, rehearsals and red carpet openings.
After studying in some of the most prestigious art schools in the US, Cathrine went on to pursue a career as a painter until she picked up her first camera, after which taking photos quickly became her life's passion.
Her photographs capture subtle and unconventional beauty with a downtown edge. "Her work is full of elegance with a modern twist." Cathrine has done plenty of editorial work for prestigious fashion magazines and has photographed celebrities. Cathrine has been chosen a semi – finalist of the Hasselblad Master's Competition for which she received a certificate in honor of outstanding creative and technical achievement in the field photography.
